It happens every year like clockwork. As soon as the temperature begins to cool, our friends in the north begin their seasonal migration in search of warmer climates. Over the next two or three months, the Destin population will increase with the arrival of the northern snowbirds. Their presence provides a huge boost to the economy after the end of the summer tourist season, and generally brings a new burst of life to the city.
These repeat visitors look forward to stepping back into their "Florida life," getting reacquainted with old friends, eating at their favorite restaurants and engaging in warm weather activities. It sure beats shovelling snow.
